Despite the current slowdown in the number of adoptions originating in Russia, Gladney continues to provide support for the children's homes with which we have established relationships over the years. In fact, the most recent Gladney Bright Futures Camps for older Russian orphans was held during Summer 2008, paving the way for eight Russian children to meet prospective adoptive families and experience a slice of life in America. Last year a Russian hospital that serves orphans received money to replace critical equipment and appliances from a Gladney-generated grant.
As we continue to stay in touch with Russian officials and position Gladney for expanded adoption opportunities in the future, Gladney has made a commitment to long-term support for Russian orphans.
