Q: If we choose a siblings do we then double the expenses?
A: The expenses to adopt siblings from Rwanda do not double but some of them do increase.

Q: What if one adoptive parent is over 50 and one under 50?
A: At this time it is hard to pinpoint exact criteria for adoptions from Rwanda. The prospective parent guidelines have not yet been confirmed.

Q: How many children have you placed from this program?
A:   To date, Gladney has placed 5 children. 

Q: What kind of health testing is done on the children in Rwanda before they are matched with adoptive families?
A: Each child is tested for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and other medical conditions.

Q: What is the time frame for an adoption process from Rwanda?
A: At this time, it is difficult to give time frames for adoptions from Rwanda. The government officials are in the process of establishing the guidelines for inter-country adoptions which can change the time frame at any time.

Q: What is the minimum age difference between children at home and an adopted child?
A: For Rwanda, Gladney requires that there be 1 year age difference between children in the home and the adopted child.
